在這個重要的選前之夜，我很遺憾無法親自出席，但心意與大家同在。

作為全美台灣同鄉會的創會會長，我對我們台灣的未來和發展格外關心。我今天特別想向賴蕭正副總統候選人, 民進黨立委候選人致以最熱烈的祝福和支持。他們的堅毅和奮鬥精神將為我們和台灣帶來積極的改變。

儘管我未能親自與你們共襄盛舉，但我的心和祝福始終與你們同在。請你們在今晚的活動中，向賴蕭正副總統候選人民進黨立委候選人傳達我們全體會員對他們的支持和祝福。

1996年，彭明敏教授代表民進黨參選第一任台灣總統。主張自由民主的台灣加入聯合國及其他國際組織。賴清德蕭美琴正副總統及其他立法委員的民進黨候選人將持續彭教授為民進黨建立的自由民主 加入聯合國的台灣精神。

讓我們攜手共同為我們的理想和價值觀而努力，為共同的目標而不懈奮鬥。

Dear friends of the Taiwanese American Association:

On this important pre-election night, I regret that I can't attend in person, but I'm with you.

As the founding president of the Taiwanese American Association 
, I am particularly concerned about the future and development of Taiwan. Today, I especially want to extend my warmest blessings to Lai Hiau Pei for President and Vice President and all the candidates for Legislators of Democratic Progressive Party. Their perseverance and fighting spirit will bring positive changes to us and Taiwan.

Although I have not been able to participate in the grand event with you in person, my heart and blessings are always with you. In tonight's activity, please convey the support and blessings of all our members to the candidates of the Democratic Progressive Party.

In 1996, Professor Peng Mingmin ran for the first president of Taiwan on behalf of the Democratic Progressive Party, which advocates freedom and democracy, joined the United Nations and other international organizations.
This is the Spirit of Taiwan.

 Lai Qingde for President and Xiao Meiqin for Vice President and other Democratic Progressive Party candidates for legislators will continue the spirit of the free and democratic Taiwan established by Professor Peng for the Democratic Progressive Party.

Let's work together for our ideals and values, and work tirelessly for common goals.
